The Joint Art Exhibition of Central and Western Asia is opened





The opening ceremony was grand and warmly attended by many distinguished guests. Among them were Zhang Qi, Executive President of the Shanghai Tourism Trade Association; Zhang Zhiqiao, Second-Level Inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism; Yan Yanqiu, Vice President of the Shanghai Magnolia Foundation for International Exchange; Li Chunping, Executive Vice President of the Shanghai NGO Network for International Exchanges; Wen Xinhua, Chairman of the Changning District Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Ali Mohammadi, Consul General of Iran in Shanghai; Sherzod Narzullaev, Consul General of Uzbekistan; Nurlan Akkoshkarov, Consul General of Kazakhstan; Anas Talib Marafi, Consul General of Kuwait; Atif Muhammad, Deputy Consul General of Pakistan; Qutbiddin Ubaydullayev, Deputy Consul General of Uzbekistan; Saad Ismail, Deputy Consul General of Kuwait; Chi Lu from the Uzbekistan Tourism Office; Peng Chunyan, General Manager of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai); Hu Muqing, President of the Shanghai Art Collection Museum; Davit Mkhitaryan, Vice President of the Armenian Chinese Partnership Center; and Hossein Bordbar, President of the Bordbar Collection in Iran. Many other leaders, cultural figures, and media representatives from China and abroad were also present to celebrate the opening.

Chi Lu, Official Representative of the Representative Office of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the People’s Republic of China, delivered a tourism promotion presentation for Uzbekistan


Dr. Davit Mkhitaryan, Vice President of the Armenian Chinese Partnership Center Development NGO, delivered a tourism promotion presentation for Armenia



The Shanghai Tourism Trade Association and the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the People's Republic of China have signed a cooperation agreement.



The Shanghai Art Collection Museum, the Armenian Chinese Partnership Center Development NGO, and Shanghai China International Travel Service Ltd. have signed a cooperation agreement.



The Shanghai Art Collection Museum, the Bordbar Collection from Iran, and Shanghai China International Travel Service Ltd. have signed a cooperation agreement.



The exhibition was officially opened by both Chinese and International guests.




This is the first big exhibition in China to really show modern art from Central and Western Asia. Under the theme "Impressions from the Western Horizon", it brings together hundreds of amazing works from 18 countries in the region. There are all kinds of art—painting, sculpture, craft, and more—showing just how rich and diverse the art scene is over there.









After the opening, the guests excitedly walked into the exhibition to enjoy all the amazing artworks. They got to see the centuries-old art of Central and Western Asia and really feel how the Silk Road’s culture connects to the present day.
