“The 2nd International Children's Creative Art Exhibition”, which is hosted by Shanghai Children’s Foundation and Shanghai Education Development Foundation, jointly organized by Shanghai Art Collection Museum (Shanghai Popularization Base of Science and Technology, Shanghai Student Social Practice Base) and Shanghai Changning District Education Foundation, is a large public activity. Showing the achievements of the artistic exchange, it aims to strengthen the collision, exchange and integration of different national cultures, to provide a platform of communication for children beyond race, language and culture, and to encourage children to actively participate in the communication of international art and culture.
The theme of the exhibition “Under the Same Starry Sky” means that young children come from different countries and have various characteristics, but they share the same starry sky. Like a splendid galaxy created by countless shiny stars, the exhibition aims to attract young artists from different countries and different regions to join us, so that colorful artistic flowers will emerge from the collision of different cultures, which will further enhance children's comprehension of foreign cultures, build a bridge of friendship, and achieve multi-cultural integration.

Relying on the international background of the metropolis Shanghai, the exhibition has attracted children’ s work from about 20 countries, including China, America, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Britain, Indonesia, Australia, Austria, Hungary, Singapore, Ukraine, New Zealand, etc. More than 200 pieces of works have been selected from hundreds of works to be presented. In order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine, the Consul General of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Shanghai, Mr. Dumytro Ponomarenko, has personally selected 20 wonderful works to attend the exhibition.

Focus on art science popularization education
In addition to children's art works from home and abroad, we have also invited well-known scientific artists, science and art education scholars to do some further discussions about children's art and science education, and help the audience understand the little-known beauty of art and the source of culture. Through the combination of science and art, science can be better integrated into our lives, art will glow too.
Ms. Kui Yu, the granddaughter of Mr. Sicheng Liang and Ms. Huiyin Lin, Master of Information Management in San Francisco University, famous humanist, has been invited to the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Combining with the family predecessors Mr. Qichao Liang, Mr. Sicheng Liang and Ms. Huiyin Lin’ s experience of child education, she will deliver a lecture with the topic of “Interest is the best source of art education” to share with the guests and parents the importance of interesting teaching methods, which will provide a lot of inspirations for the educators and parents.

Interactive experience become the highlight
In order to better cultivate and practice the core values of socialism, we will actively participate in the project of “National Civilized City” in Changning District. During the exhibition period, we will also organize an activity with the theme of “To Be the Civilized Representative” in Changning District. Through artistic creation, educational exhibition, parent-children experience, etc., a wide range of activities for civilization promotion are organized in many children’ s families. It becomes a major highlight of the exhibition.
During the exhibition, activities of popularization of science and art with the theme of “the integration of beauty and power” will also be co-organized by Changning District Science and Technology Committee and Shanghai Art Collection Museum. Through the “3D printing experience”, “tie-dye art experience”, “micro-space landscape designing experience”, “creative graffiti experience” and a series of other artistic and interactive activities, scientific knowledge will be fully interpreted, so that science can be better integrated into our lives and art will also glow.
In addition, Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Shanghai , will continue to launch a special activity for the children like the “the Charm of Poland” held last year, which is worth expecting.
During the extensive exhibition period, the exhibition will organize the cultural promotion series activities. Through the artistic creation, educational exhibition, parent-child experience, etc., the city civilization manners will be promoted and the majority of young children will be guided to establish a lofty ambition, cultivate a beautiful soul, and develop in an all-around way.

A double evaluation mechanism has been specially set up for this exhibition with the combination of experts and online evaluation, which will ensure the authority of the awards by inviting educational experts, representatives of professional organizations, artists and representatives of consulates general in Shanghai to participate in the evaluation; at the same time, the online votes on some popular websites attract a large number of people to join us, which could be fair and also fully discover the art talents with potentials. The authoritative certificates will be issued by the host units who have an extensive social impact. Besides, the large-scale awarding ceremony and collection book publication will enhance the social impact of this exhibition and promote the children art education to a higher level.
