Date:2017-06-22The Opening Ceremony of The 7th International Exhibition

In the afternoon of June 8th, distinguished people gathered in the Shanghai Art Collection Museum, where various spectacular works are exhibited. The 7th International Invitational Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts had its grand opening here along with the beautiful melody.

Many distinguished leaders, such as Mr Jinjun Hu, Vice Head of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, Mr. Khaled Youssef, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Shanghai, Mr. Kazuyuki KATAYAMA, Consul General of Consulate General of Japan in Shanghai, Mr. Dmytro Ponomarenko, Consul General of Consulate General of Ukraine in Shanghai, Mr. Chunjing Liu, Inspector of People's Political Consultative Conference of Changning District, Mr. Shengde Ma, Former Inspector of Intangible Cultural Heritage Division, Ministry of Culture of China, Mr. Baiping Bian, Chief Supervisor of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Former Secretary of Changning District Committee of Chinese Communist Party, Ms. Lili Zhang, Director of the 14th Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress of China, Director of Shanghai Style Chi-Pao Promotion Association, Mr. Wei Wang, Vice Director of Shanghai Municipal Administration for Culture, Radio, Film & TV, Mr. Jiye Lu, Vice Director of NPC Standing Committee of Changning District, Mr. Ronghua Li, Vice Director of Changning District People’s Government, Mr. Shenglai Chen, President of National Research Center for International Cultural Exchange, Mr. Gang Bai, Former Minister - Counselor of The Chinese embassy in Japan, Mr. Kuili Liu, Honorary President of Chinese Folklore Academy, Mr. Haitham Safey Eldin, Vice Counsel of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Shanghai, Ms. Radwa Yakout, Special Representative of Governor of the Alexandria Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Dong Wuk Seo, Director of Korean Cultural Center in Shanghai, Ms. Melani Murkovic, Consul for Culture of Consulate General of the Republic of Austria in Shanghai, Ms. Lívia Szentmártoni, Consul for Culture and Education at the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, along with about 200 guests from Asia, Europa and Africa have attended the opening ceremony.  

Guests from all over the world and from different fields have gathered together to witness the grand opening of the 7th International Invitational Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts.

Mr. Joshua Bobley, Master of Asian Culture, Yale University, Master of Journalism, Columbia University, Former English Proofreader of Shanghai Daily, Visiting Scholar of Oxford University, hosted the opening ceremony.

Mr. Muqing Hu, the Secretary of the Organizing Committee, introduced the Chinese and foreign guests. 

Mr. Jinjun Hu, Vice Head of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, delivered a speech. 

Mr. Ronghua Li, Vice Director of Changning District People’s Government, delivered a speech.

Mr. Kazuyuki KATAYAMA, Consul General of Japan in Shanghai, delivered a speech. 

Mr. Khaled Youssef, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Shanghai, delivered a speech on behalf of the Governor of Alexandria in Egypt. 

Mr. Takahiro Moriki, Director of Culture Revitalization Section of Kyoto Prefecture, read out the congratulatory letter of Governor of Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.

 

       Distinguished leaders from Asia, Europa and Africa such as Mr. Wuwei Li, Vice Chairman of the 11th National Committee of the CPPCC; Mr. Ronghua Wang, Vice Chairman of 10th CPPCC Shanghai Committee, Mr. Song Ha Jin, Governor of Jeollabuk-do in Korea, Mr. László Vizi, Director General of Department for Cultural Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Mr. Khaled Youssef, Consul General of Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Shanghai, Mr. Takashi Fushimi, Mayor of Hirakata of Osaka Prefecture in Japan, the sister city of Changning District, etc. have sent respectively congratulatory letters to the exhibition.   

 

Ms. Shuiqing Li, Executive Director of Shanghai Art Collection Museum, Ms. Ping Xia, Director of Shanghai Culture and Art Archives and Mr. Tao Xu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Art & Design Academy signed a letter of intent. 


Participating Leaders issued a certificate to the artists who have donated to the museum.

 

 Distinguished guests signed  autographs together.

 

Ms. Yanqun Zhong, Vice Director of Shanghai NPC Standing Committee, was not able to attend the opening ceremony because of her own business, but she came to the museum specially to visit the exhibition after work. She spoke highly of the quality and display ways of the exhibits as well as the long terms of art communication events held by Shanghai Art Collection Museum between China and foreign countries. She hopes that the museum can make persistent efforts and explore continuously the new way for the intangible cultural heritage to integrate into the contemporary life.

The series events like the 3rd International (Shanghai) Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference was held after the opening ceremony.

The 7th International Invitational Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts will be firstly presented from June 9th, 2017 to June 25th, 2017 (except Monday) and is open to the public for free.
