Date:2013-03-28The director of our museum visit two art advisers

On the March 28th, the director of our museum Hu Muqing made a special trip to Suzhou to visit two art consultants of  our museum Gu Wenxia and wang Jinshan. He listen a lot of advices and Suggestions about The Third Sino-Japan-Korea Fine Art Invitational Exhibition from them.
Gu Wenxia is not only representative figure of Suzhou embroidery artists in our country, but also is member of Chinese arts and crafts master and senior technology artist. She received interviews by chairman MAO Zedong and Liu Shaoqi in 1957 and 1959. Light industry has been named she as model workers in 1978. She awarded the title of arts and crafts master of China in 1988 and attained the special allowance of the state council since 1994. She served as deputy director of the institute of Suzhou embroidery and created China's Embroidery Art Museum as curator and chief technologist.
Wang Jinshan is arts and crafts master of China and crafts master of Asia. He served as deputy director of The Institute of Suzhou Arts and Crafts, curator of Suzhou Art Museum and president of Suzhou KeSi Research Association. As a person of authority on China KeSi, he was invited to repair KeSi treasures of The Imperial Palace Museum in Beijing. He went to Japan, Brazil, Chile, Germany, France and other countries for art exchange and imparted KeSi techniques. He was praised as The king of KeSi by the Japanese.
During the visit, Mr. Hu sincerely thanked the two art consultants care about our work for a long time. He listen a lot of opinions about The Third Sino-Japan-Korea Fine Art Invitational Exhibition from them.
According to the two consultants introduction, Suzhou is a city which has developed arts and crafts and has a rich intangible cultural heritage. At present, the city has total 6 items listed in The UN's Human Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Work List, 24 projects listed in The National Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Work List, 28 people listed in The National Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Inheritance. The two consultants hope more and more people know the Suzhou traditional arts through The Third Sino-Japan-Korea Fine Art Invitational Exhibition.
